Situated on the mouth of the river Arade, Portimão, a busy fishing port with 46,000 inhabitants is the second largest city in the Algarve.

1st; day
Today we invite you to join us aboard the "Gageiro" an old typical Portuguese sail boat. We depart from Portimão and cruise towards the west. Do not forget your camera to capture the beauty of the scenery along the way ? the long golden sands of Praia da Rocha, the contrasting colors of the white sands of Praia do Vau against the red cliffs, and the broad expanse of Alvor bay. We make our way towards Ponta da Piedade, renowned for the strange rock formations.
Spot the different rock formations ? the camel, the elephant, the kissing couple. The cruise continues ever further west towards the villages of Luz and Burgau. In the afternoon you will return and anchor in Lagos, historical seaport, where new and old live in harmony; the modern marina with it?s yachts and the old slave market near to the statue of prince Henry the Navigator.
Dinner will be served ashore in the Restaurant "Adega da Marina", where you will sample the Portuguese barbecued spare ribs or the chicken piri-piri. After dinner you will have time to explore the nice spots of the town.
2nd day
Today we sail in an easterly direction , passing the pretty fishing village of Ferragudo and the historic castle which overlooks the beach. As we continue towards Armação de Pera, claimed to be the largest sandiest beach in the Algarve, you will see some of the lovely, secluded beaches for which the Algarve is justly famous. You will pass other long sandy beaches, small coves and spectacular rock formations, like Algar Seco.
In the afternoon and after reaching Armação de Pera we make our way back to Portimão harbour, where the tour will end.
