Krazy World is a zoo but a leisure park as well. There are animals from different parts of the world and it is a great place to visit and enjoy for families and children.

Zoo Lagos is a magnificent zoo, founded on the principle of “conservar-educar-proteger” (conservation-education-protection). You can tell as soon as you go in that Zoo Lagos is all about the animals, the environment they live in is beautiful and the animals are so happy that many of them are breeding!

Parque da Mina is a renovated old farm, just outside Caldas de Monchique, with an 18th century furnished house, which has now been converted into a theme park. The highlights include a disused ore mine, a Medronho distillery (a local brew made from distilled medronho berries of the Albutus/Strawberry Tree and originally created in back room stills) and wood coal production.

Located in Guia, just a few kilometers from Alvor, you can watch presentations with dolphins, seals and sea lions, with tropical birds and birds of prey. Zoomarine theme park is open all year round from 10am to 6pm.

FIESA – International Sand Sculpture Festival
FIESA is a mega exhibition of sand sculptures held by Prosandart since 2003 in Pêra, Algarve. The festival is unique in the Iberian Peninsula and is considered the largest sand sculpture festival in the world. Every year, a group of talented sculptors, from various parts of the world and experts in the art of sand sculpting.
